As Aotearoa prepares to celebrate Matariki, a meaningful new jewellery collection is inviting people to carry a little of that spirit with them every day.
In a first for Pandora, the internationally recognised jewellery house has collaborated with Wellington's Dreamgirls Art Collective to create a limited edition charm collection inspired by the nine stars of the Matariki cluster. The partnership marks a significant milestone, with the trio becoming the first New Zealand artists to design a custom collection for the global brand.
Each charm has been thoughtfully created as a modern keepsake, reflecting the stories, symbolism and sense of renewal that Matariki brings. Whether worn as a single statement or layered into a personal jewellery stack, the collection offers a beautiful way to celebrate the season through thoughtful design.
Adding another creative dimension to the launch, Dreamgirls Art Collective has also transformed a prominent Wellington city corner with a vibrant large scale mural, creating a lasting public artwork that reflects the same sense of connection and creativity found throughout the collection.
Available from 7 July in Pandora stores nationwide, including Christchurch, Riccarton and Northlands, this collection is a stylish reminder that jewellery can be more than an accessory. It can tell a story, honour a moment and celebrate the people and places that inspire us.
