This October, STORM celebrates its 20th birthday with Founder and Creative Director Deborah Caldwell still at the helm. Known for her sharp instinct in reading and reinterpreting trends, Deb continues to define the brand’s iconic rock-n-roll edge meets modern femininity.

With spring and summer on the horizon, Deb shares her take on what we’ll be wearing in the months ahead:

“This spring we’ll see extensions of current trends—but all with a twist. Neutrals are here to stay, but expect them to be lifted with brights like cobalt blue and citrus orange. For those who love making a bold statement, colour on colour is coming through strong—think vivid spring greens paired with uplifting azure blues. It’s a reminder not to forget to have a little fun in life.”



The Late Checkout Collection

Deb releases her first taste of the new season with Late Checkout, launching this month. Shot behind closed doors, the collection is all about quiet confidence—where tailored silhouettes meet slouchy denim, luxe knits soften sharp lines, and bold pops of colour break through a neutral base.

Statement prints take centre stage, from animal prints to retro ‘70s-inspired designs, while elevated essentials and unexpected pairings create looks that are both strong and effortlessly modern.

Expect to see plenty of summer whites and hints of chocolate tones. Our obsession with all shades of brown isn’t fading—this season think warm bases of cocoa layered with fresh, sunlit textures.

On embellishments and fabric, Deb explains:

“Lace, metallics, satin, mesh, beading, and animal print have featured heavily in the northern hemisphere summer—and we’ll see these reimagined here on cardis, tees, dresses, and accessories.”



Deb’s Seasonal Staples

So what will Deb herself be wearing?

“Most days, I’ll be in a signature band tee, barrels or skinnies, and a boxy blazer. I also love a flowing dress that can be worn casually, then belted and edged up with some statement hardware, a leather jacket, or an oversized blazer.”

And this summer, one thing is certain—there will be more colour than ever.

“We had a successful winter experimenting with a little more colour, and our customers responded so positively. I’ve enjoyed having fun with our interpretation of northern trends—always styled the STORM way.”
