COCKTAILS FROM CADRONA

The Negroni is classic, cool, and delicious.

COCKTAIL OF THE MONTH

The Source Negroni

The Negroni is celebrated worldwide for its perfect balance — bitter, sweet, and botanical — sophisticated yet approachable. As Nicholas Henare reflects, its greatness lies in its simplicity: three ingredients stirred with care to create a drink that is more than the sum of its parts.

For our October Cocktail of the Month, we’ve chosen to spotlight The Source Negroni, made with The Source Single Malt Gin from Cardrona Distillery. Distilled high in the Southern Alps, this alpine spirit lends remarkable depth and clarity, elevating the familiar Negroni into something quietly luxurious.

The Source Negroni Recipe

25ml The Source Single Malt Gin @cardronadistillery

25ml Campari

25ml Italian Sweet Vermouth

1 dash orange bitters

Method: Add all ingredients to a stirring glass with ice. Stir to desired dilution, then strain into a rocks glass over block ice. Garnish with a fresh orange wedge.

Sipped slowly, The Source Negroni captures the essence of a Canterbury spring evening: bold yet balanced, refreshing yet grounded. With thanks to our friends at @cellardoor_chch for showcasing this timeless serve, we’re reminded that true classics never lose their place at the table.
